Yumi is a family-run British womenswear brand founded by Clare and Uttam in Camden Market, London, in 1995.

In 1995, Camden Market was alive with independent fashion, music, culture and creativity. It was here that Clare and Uttam opened Yumi’s first market stall.

They wanted to offer something different from the ordinary: expressive womenswear that combined colour and print with feminine, wearable shapes.

Customers were drawn to the dresses, distinctive patterns and individual approach to style. The first rail became a larger collection, the market stall became a growing business and Yumi began reaching women far beyond Camden.
